Serves: 8.

Makes: Around 3-4 paddies per person.

Time-it-takes-to-make: 45 minutes.

Ingredients:

Stirfry:

  • 2/3’s medium-sized green cabbage.
  • 1 shu-shu.
  • 2 onions.
  • 200 grams different kinds of mushrooms.
  • 1 large bunch fresh leafy greens.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil.

Burgers:

  • 1 kilo beef mince-meat.
  • 1 onion.
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon oregano.
  • 1 tablespoon cumin.
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil.
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt.

Extra:

  • A bunch of lettuce.

How To Make:

  1. Start by making the veggie stirfry. Cut the cabbage, the onions, the shu-shu, the leafy greens, and the mushrooms into small pieces.
  2. Put them into a large, cast-iron pot, and add in the oil.
  3. Cook them for 20-30 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Then, mix up the meat. In a large bowl, mix the mince-meat with the herbs, spices and salt.
  5. Then, add in the tomato-sauce, and the onion!
  6. Roll them into how many paddies you want. Then, oil a cast-iron frying pan, and put it on the stove.
  7. Fry each paddy, three at a time. They should be nicely browned on the outside, and well done on the inside.
  8. While they cook, wash the lettuce, break it apart, and organize the the leaves nicely around each plate.
  9. When the vegetable stirfry is done, put a scoop or two right in the middle of the leaves.
  10. And, finally, place the meat paddies right on top of the stirfry!
  11. It will be tasty, and healthy too!
