Serves: 8.
Makes: Around 3-4 paddies per person.
Time-it-takes-to-make: 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
Stirfry:
- 2/3’s medium-sized green cabbage.
- 1 shu-shu.
- 2 onions.
- 200 grams different kinds of mushrooms.
- 1 large bunch fresh leafy greens.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Burgers:
- 1 kilo beef mince-meat.
- 1 onion.
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce.
- 1 tablespoon oregano.
- 1 tablespoon cumin.
- 4 tablespoons olive oil.
- 1/2 tablespoon salt.
Extra:
- A bunch of lettuce.
How To Make:
- Start by making the veggie stirfry. Cut the cabbage, the onions, the shu-shu, the leafy greens, and the mushrooms into small pieces.
- Put them into a large, cast-iron pot, and add in the oil.
- Cook them for 20-30 minutes, stirring often.
- Then, mix up the meat. In a large bowl, mix the mince-meat with the herbs, spices and salt.
- Then, add in the tomato-sauce, and the onion!
- Roll them into how many paddies you want. Then, oil a cast-iron frying pan, and put it on the stove.
- Fry each paddy, three at a time. They should be nicely browned on the outside, and well done on the inside.
- While they cook, wash the lettuce, break it apart, and organize the the leaves nicely around each plate.
- When the vegetable stirfry is done, put a scoop or two right in the middle of the leaves.
- And, finally, place the meat paddies right on top of the stirfry!
- It will be tasty, and healthy too!
